    Default 2012 Honda Civic 77960-TR0-A014-M1 95320?

    Hi Good People,

    Having trouble reading EEPROM, on wrong chip? Supposed to be 95320, only two SOIC-8 chips are on back side and marked S5051G and 625033. The 625033 Googled as a CAN interface chip, the S5051G kind of referred to maybe a serial EEPROM.

    Seeing that the 625033 was exact match for a CAN interface - pulled the S5051G to read. It's all blank. Damaged, or on wrong chip? Know my programmer is OK with another "tester" chip.

    Any help or comments are appreciated. Need to either try a used module, or spring for a new one (ouch). Only driver's pretensioner deployed (F3-11) but there is also code E3-11 that will not clear after seat belt replacement. Can send photos of board and chips if it helps.

    Thank you. Now need to find a way to read it, don't have TSSOP adapter - yet

    So this is much deeper for me than ever. That chip is microscopic, all the little breadboards I have are coarser pitch like SOIC-8. Even if I had one, it would be micro surgery to remove and install the little guy. Do I need to remove it, or is there a way to connect on board? Thanks again

    you have to desolder it and solder it on the eeprom reader board in order to read the file
    there is no other way than this

    Seeing "POGO-PIN" adapter cable for in circuit, but not gonna spend $100 for one time use...thanks again

    You don't need to remove the eeprom from this module. CarProg reads it without removing it.

    Kevinb2u, Yes , you are correct. It can be done on the circuit board ( without De soldering.)
    Maybe, try trace the pins from the eeprom and solder the connections to it.

    Correct, use the search button, there are instructions with pictures for that module.

    There exist a five minutes easier technique to do it and will not cost much if you have a soldering iron and a heat gun.
