    Default upa-usb

    hi
would you still recommend buying upa-usb from aliexpress?

Are they worth it to read chips?

    Or doesn't work or outdated.

    Thanks

Thank you my friend. Saw a nec adapter on sale separately on AliExpress. I'm wondering if that adapter works with the clones or just with the original

Any feedback from anyone most welcome

    Thanks

What is the use of the Motorola adapters if some say that the protected chips cannot be read with upa?
Anyone been successful with upa to read the protected chips?

Thank you for your reply. So you just weld wires directly on the board without resoldering the mcu I'm guessing.

Hello to all. For original upa I can say that is covering 90% of mcu in airbag for the moment, for connection diagram I use cpt web site, and build in pin out in upa soft. From elrasoft I received some help for problems with read and write of mcu, very fast support.

My friend it is always nice to hear from you. I went on the elrasoft website. I am used with the clones so was expecting to find adapters for the chips. Seems there are not many. We probably expected to count and weld. Now will probably need a microscope too.

Do you use it on windows 7 or windows 10? Seems the original upa soft doesn't work on them. Had to try it on windows xp.

Anyone been able to use it on windows 7?

Hello to all. No problem for original upa-s. I have it working on win8.1, win 10, win XP SP3. For the eeprom 8pins you will need a cheap (or expensive) socket and for the MCUs will need to solder max 8 wires. For older nec in PSA cars ( BSI, DASH ) for upa you can buy china nec adapter and rework from my thread here in DK. After that adapter is 100% original and working.

Thank you all for your help. I decided to buy the original.

However going through the schematic I find dashed lines on some connections. Are the dashed lines just for connections to program the eeprom and MCU?

    Hi

I got this diagram for UUPS but just can't figure why some of the connections are shown dashed.
