Replacing Ford sid208 and sid211 PCM

Hello guys,

To replace a Ford sid208 or sid211. Up to 2016 Transit, and custom.




If the old ecu is gone, i have trouble replacing it with a secondhand unit.


Even with leaving ign off trick. I am not able to change vin.




So i could type in the vin, directly in the eeprom dump. (crc in vin areas is a miner concern)
Then use the online as-build option.
Would that work?

I use this, to flash. I fixed some bad obd ecu jobs.
Only, when i do pats, i need incode outocde calcualtion. So it is limited in that way.
I was hoping, that flashing with As-build function, would cover eeprom immo data.

I tried to get a Ford licence.
Not so easy. Need a US adress and creditcard.
Some offer it, outside off Ford itself. I will look in to that.

I've used forscan to download as built data from forscan server when ids was not able to before.. then reflashed with ids or fjds .. newer models use fdrs (if I remember correctly) 2019 plus vehicle's for online programming...

So if ids refuses to As-build the ecu. Forscan often will.

Until now, i never tried Forscan.
I should install it, on my new work laptop.

I will look in to getting full vcm2 acces.
