Default Immo off or fault finding/bypass CAN? Citroen C3 1.4i 2004

    Hi,

    I have a big issue with a Citroen C3 1.4i 2004.
I have tried most of the things, even immo off but dont know for sure it was done correctly or what the next step will be.
Original BSI + ECU files + 2 version immo off attached below.

This car have hard time starting because of the U-fault codes, problem in CAN network and absence of communication with ECU/BSI and other units with can protocol in car.

I tracked down a fault to ABS connector wich was filled with grease so I cleaned it and put all things togheter, started the car and all faults erased automaticly by themselves.

But this have happen before as well, before I cleaned the plug.. Next time a person want to start the car it throws same fault codes again and again, car will be very very very difficult to start.

I have tried making immo off, changed bsi, ecu, coded keys, cleaned abs plug, stripped wires to see if something is loose/cut, cleaned all earth points to chassi and other parts of the car, checked all fuses...

Nothing seem to work, maybe someone here have been in same situation / same fault codes ?
Or is it a way to bypass CAN somehow with emulator or by cables?

    ABS:
    U1000
    U1308
    U1318

    ECU:
U1000 - Communication between the engine management ECU and the other ECUs on the network (CAN)
P0568 - Cruise Control Set Signal Malfunction
    P0571 - Cruise Control

    BSI:
87C - Absence of Communication with the Engine Management ECU

    ---------------------------------------------

    CAR INFO:
    Citroen C3
    1.4i
    2004
    Engine code: KFV (TU3JP)

Thank you for all the help.

    Best regards,

Did you try to disconnect the ABS connector and see if the car starts? if it enters the diagnosis in the engine

If I'm not wrong, the CAN line between ECU and BSI goes inside the ABS. The ABS control unit is connected in series to the CAN line

Thanks for the information and your information is correct.

I will try to disconnect the plug and try to start the car or if it enters diagnostics to ECU tomorrow.

If connection to or ABS is faulty then I suspect only clean ABS changing should solve the problem yes ?
Because its weird after cleaning ABS plug it started the car but not when car got cold after some hours, so I believe issue lays there as well.

I will try and report tomorrow, thank you for now

    Hi,

Removed ABS plug, connected to car engine + bsi with same fault code, car didnt start.
Connected another ABS module with same numbers, same thing.
Got another engine fuse box = same thing and fault codes.

    Any ideas please?

    Hi,
just unplug the ABS is not enough you need to connect the can in and out
