Hitag2 smart keys from FCA are possible to reuse without virgin as far me is known. I doubt in Dodge will be different.

The original Hitag2 keys that came with the vehicle cannot be reprogrammed once they are locked to the vehicle (RFHub). If I read them with the xp400 they even show status locked. For shits and giggles I tried to program a locked key and it wouldn’t program. Had to put a virgin file to the key and then it programmed up like nobodies business.
Once you change out the RFHub you need to program up new keys (at least one) first. Then you do the RFHub replace, which marries the RFH to the BCM and the VIN from the BCM is getting copied to the RFH. Done.
A new virgin RFH has a VIN 0000000000000 and a PIN of 0000. The newer Dodges come with the RFH VIN locked. It is not possible to learn a different VIN to them, unless maybe someone gets a hand on a virgin one and reads out the RFH and flashes them files directly to the used RFH. Kinda same idea I did with the original keys.
Unfortunatly I don’t have a Xhorse programmer yet, only got the IM508s with a XP400 from Autel. Maybe in a year or so I can afford another programmer and I’ll try to read more modules and post them files.
The RFH in the Autel diagnostics function is hidden where the radio is.

Yes, Dodge locked the VIN in the RFHub in the latest model years and you just can't put a different VIN number to it (at least it is like that here in the North American market). Same like factory Hitag2 keyfobs. I suppose if one has a virgin RFH and make a virgin dump one could maybe flash the used RFH and get it going virgin again that way.
Others changed the original VIN on the BCM, PCM etc to mach the one on the RFH. I just find that later idea gross and isn't a real fix.

The chip on my RFH is different... XC2265N... and off course the XP400 can't read it.

You could invest in a vvdiprog.

If you order the exact partnumber rfhub, you could make a backup.
And perhaps share your files, like other do.

yep… unfortunately at the moment I can only do what the IM508s and the XP400 can do. I am not a stranger in electronics repair, just have a bit trouble on what programmer to use for whatever brand / module.

If you show us a picture, of the pcb.
And what kind of mcu is in there?

    9S12XEQ384 ?

What tool are you using to read the pincode? Besides Alfaobd,

What happened to the original rfhub?

The 4 digit PIN on the RFHub is numeric only, no letters in there... At least I haven't seen any letters in the PIN yet. So 00C6 reading is garbage IMHO. Also this PIN is for the fobik only. BTW, the PIN can change from 0000 to whatever it used to be without loosing the programmed fobik.
Try programming the fobik with PIN as 0000.
