    Lightbulb 2003 Citroen Xsara - economy mode

    Hi,

    Someone know, why it's in economy mode permanently ?
    It seems, no way out...

    Valeo bsi with 95040 eeprom.

    Did you connect 2nd working car with cables ?


    From what i remember Launch had option to turn off economy mode

    Yes, I have Launch, but unfortunately doesn't help...

    Are you saying it's in eco mode with the engine running? Is the alternator charging the battery?

    Battery voltage or condition has nothing to do with eco mode on this model.

    OK you need to start the engine otherwise the BSI will never come out of eco mode, eco mode has triggered because certain consumers have been on for too long without the engine running (normally the ignition switched on in a non starting situation). The BSI will come out of eco mode once you get it started.
    Eco mode is not stopping the car starting, the car is in eco mode because the car is not starting. Basically just ignore eco mode & treat it like any other non start situation.

    If you have the PIN, you just have to reprogram the keys and it will start
