    i used the tutorial. direct connection to atmega using ponyprog and flashed 1.83. i then used arash 908 using ponyprog.

    i then used mprog to write 232r EPT which i used before to fix my broken cable.

    only thing i haven't done is remove components and linked 3 wires (atmega, FT and GAL).

    i used the cable once but now it don't seem to connect any more.

    should i try again but remove the components and wire up?

    I suppose that you have interface with ft232 inside, just do exactly like in this solution http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...hip-ft232r.rar

    @nemesiz12 You should do this on win xp (it's safer)

    Sometimes when you connect interface , windows ask for drivers and you can not install your interface with any drivers , in this case do the following steps:
    - Go to "Device manager".
    - Search for your device (with yellow icon).
    - Go to "Property" of device.
    - You will see the "VID" (Vendor ID) and "PID" (Product ID)

    write these numbers and use XOOM's udfixer (big respect to Xoom) to create new drivers, now you can install your interface, it will say something different than usb serial device but it doesn't matter after installation of drivers run mprog and erase ftdi eeprom choose new vcds eeprom and program it, i have to go now Hoffenheim leads 2-0 it's 3-0 now

    as VID i use 0403 and PID 0600
    the programm create the driver but when i want to install it

    VID_0403&PID_6001

    and you saying that you enter PID 0600
    thats why you getting error. and for your vid/pid no need different drivers.. use drivers from ftdichip.com

    FT_Prog is newer version then MProg3.5
    You are not concentrated what you are doing..
    "UDFfixer by bloom" even this prove that
    so take care what you are doing and follow instructions exactly bibkare explained

    after flash the rft232rl windows show in the device manager as a P with exclamation point the PID are changed to 4204.
    How I know i correct flash the cable?
    in ft prog i choose -> scan and parse->File-> open Template
    than i choose VCDS 908 FT232RL.xml
    than -> Device-> program
    I wait and in the left corner above the Window a Message with complete occurred.

    Is this correct or the cable damaged?

    in the attachment is a picture.

    What a bith :-)

    well i have flashed 1.83 again along with arash 908 eeprom. removed the stc etc and added 3 wires and still my cable don't see my car.

    i cannot do the GAL as i don't have programmer.

    @Nemesiz12
    this is not correct.. try after you change vid/pid for drivers then you should install your cable wit these drivers .. then you fire up your ftprog or mprog and delete whole eeprom.. then replug it.. and then you can apply you ross-tech file

    @tazman13
    if it was with ft232rl you have to reprogram GAL..
